Bob has 15 years of tax experience serving Austin clients ranging from start-ups to multinational companies. While at PwC, Bob worked with clients in the software, telecommunications, healthcare and manufacturing sectors. His clients ranged in size from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to joining Holtzman Partners, Bob worked in the tax group at National Instruments Corporation, where he was responsible for managing daily operations in their corporate tax department. Bob’s areas of focus included the company’s worldwide income tax provision, transfer pricing and sales & use tax.
Bob’s experience in both public accounting and industry helps him clearly understand our clients’ tax needs. Having gained a client perspective, he fully understands client goals and objectives and works hard to deliver quality results.
Prior to becoming a CPA in the state of Texas in 2001, Bob earned a B.B.A. in accounting from Texas Tech University. He also has a master’s in taxation from the University of Texas-San Antonio. In his spare time, Bob serves as director for the Austin Zoo and is a board member for TexChange.
Aside from your profession, what’s something you know a lot about?
I’ve always been a car enthusiast and enjoy restoring old cars.
If you had to choose a different career, what would it be?
Formula 1 race car driver.
What’s something about you that most people might not know?
I spent a summer commercial fishing for salmon in Alaska. I was out at sea for long periods on a 40 foot boat with no shower.
Where is your favorite place to travel to or visit?
What’s your favorite season and why?
Fall because of the cooler weather and the least amount of tax deadlines. Fall, of course is football season, too, and a new school year starts, so it’s always exciting.
What is something that is still on your bucket list?
To travel all over South America.
