Ben excels at helping his clients understand and meet complex compliance requirements. He prides himself with the high level of service he offers his clients and truly enjoys watching their businesses grow. He is also well-known for building strong relationships with each client and fostering these relationships through open communication and collaboration.
As a vital member of the audit team at Holtzman Partners, Ben focuses primarily on financial statement audits and SOX compliance and has a special knack for tackling tougher areas such as equity financing and stock-based compensation. He enjoys working with clients of all sizes from a variety of industries such as software, manufacturing and retail.
Ben first joined Holtzman Partners as an audit intern in 2012 and later started his accounting career by returning to Holtzman Partners after college. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the College of Charleston and became a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) in 2018. He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Ben enjoys the fall and winter seasons and getting a chance to spend some free time watching football. He also enjoys taking the opportunity to return to Charleston a couple times a year to visit friends.
When I retire… I’d like to live on a few hundred acres in the hill country.
What’s your favorite thing to do in Austin?
Growing up in Austin, I’ve always been a Longhorns sports fan. I really enjoy basketball season and try to make it to most of the home games each year.
What would be impossible for you to give up?
Probably Mexican food–I eat it at least once a week.
What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?
Outside of hunting season, I try to play golf as much as possible.
