Kat started her career as a financial auditor for the U.S. Government Accountability Office in Washington, D.C. She moved back to Austin in 2006 to work at EY Austin, then left as an audit manager to move into industry as a manager of SEC reporting and SOX compliance analysis at Newgistics. She joined Holtzman Partners in 2012 when she realized she missed the exciting world of audit and advisory and enjoyed helping clients find solutions to accounting questions. Kat leads the firm’s accounting and advisory practice, and is the firm’s resource on technical accounting matters and quality. She currently serves as treasurer on the board of directors for Love-A-Bull, Inc., an Austin-based not-for-profit, and is an active volunteer with the Austin Humane Society.
