AUSTIN – May 17, 2021 – Holtzman Partners, a leading certified public accounting firm, is pleased to announce that the firm will provide up to 50 hours of Pro Bono professional services (starting this year) to five different minority-owned businesses in Texas.
In the past year, the firm has made significant changes to its Diversity & Inclusion initiative efforts. One of those changes was a commitment to provide Pro Bono services to historically marginalized and minoritized business owners to support the lasting success of minority entrepreneurs in the community.
“The COVID-19 crisis has exacerbated the many challenges that small businesses already face, especially those in industries that are more susceptible to disruption,” said Chris Perkins, Managing Partner at Holtzman Partners. “We are proud to offer these yearly grants to help minority business leaders rebuild, grow, and continue to scale their businesses for the long-term.”
The application process for Holtzman’s 2021 pro bono services grants is currently open.
Which businesses qualify?
Holtzman will provide up to 50 hours of Pro Bono services in all of its practices areas to five businesses that meet the following eligibility criteria:
- At least 51% of the company must be owned, managed, and controlled by an individual from one of the presumed historically marginalized and minoritized groups (i.e., Asian-American, African-American, Native American, Hispanic, Women, or LGBTQ.)
- Applicant must have a business license within the State of Texas for at least 6 months
- Must be a for-profit or non-for-profit business
Business leaders that fit the criteria above are encouraged to apply immediately by filling out this application form. Candidates will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
