Proudly Supporting Helping Hand Home

A team of Holtzman Partners’ members attended this year’s Champions for Children Awards Luncheon benefiting Helping Hand Home. We were honored to be a part of the event and witness the recognition of some of Austin’s great caregivers and volunteers.

In its 20th year, the annual Champions for Children luncheon honors individuals in the Austin community who have been selected for their outstanding work and service to children in need. This year’s honorees were the Benson Family of the Beyond Batten Disease Foundation, Albert Black of Child Inc, Kristin Finan of Carrying Hope and Chrystal Smith of Foster Village. The program also recognized philanthropic honorees Brian and Adria Sheth for their work through the Sheth Sangreal Foundation.

In addition to recognizing these generous community members, the audience also heard Christina Meredith, author of “CinderGirl,” share her story about growing up in the foster care system and how she shares her message around the country in an attempt to change the way America handles foster youth.

Holtzman Partners is proud to support Helping Hand Home, now in its 126th year of serving children and families in the Austin area. Since 1893, Helping Hand Home has touched the lives of countless children and has evolved from a childcare facility into a residential treatment center for children who have experienced extreme abuse and neglect. At HHH children receive services that include therapeutic treatment and education. Helping Hand Home also provides foster care and adoption services and places approximately 90 children in caring homes each year.
