Q&A

Q. What was it that drew you to Armanino?
The ability to be part of something incredibly innovative and positive. The positive energy the firm exudes is contagious. They’re known as an industry innovator, and it’s allowing me to do things I’ve only dreamed of doing before. I was immediately drawn to the firm’s values, culture, and focus on people and clients alike.
Q. Without naming names, tell us about your favorite client and why you enjoyed working with them.
I have a client in the SaaS space who is really sharp. His company is growing quickly, and he regularly reaches out to me for advice to drive his company forward. He’s innovative, and he pushes me to use innovative solutions to solve his business problems. We get to work together and uncover creative strategies. I appreciate being stretched as a technical partner.
Q. What keeps you up at night?
Are my clients going to be able to keep up with all the rapid changes that get fired at them day in and day out? And how can my team help them?
Q. Describe your work style.
I want to make sure we‘re all aligned with the goals and the outcomes we want to achieve. I’m fueled by helping clients get to the right answer, while valuing their feedback and perspective.
Q. Who is (or was) the most influential person in your life?
My stepdad. My folks got divorced early in life, and my stepdad immediately embraced me and my sister. He’s a military guy and was a social worker for the army. He’s able to step back and look at situations objectively, as well as see the world through other people’s eyes. He told me that the world is going to be tearing your kids down every day. You need to be there to build them back up, no matter what.
Q. What do you love most about your work?
I love the relationships. If I look back at my career, I’m so proud to have contributed to the betterment of so many lives. I’ve helped people just out of school, employees becoming partner and colleagues leaving and becoming CEOs of other companies. I’m proud to be part of the lifechanging value creation of an entrepreneur.
