Holtzman Partners Promotes Peterson to Partner
Holtzman Partners, a top certified public accounting firm based in Austin, Texas, has expanded its partner team, promoting Kat Peterson to a partner in its audit and advisory practice effective January 1, 2019.
Peterson began her career as a financial auditor for the U.S. Government Accountability Office in Washington, D.C. She returned to Austin in 2006 to work at EY Austin, and later moved into industry as a manager of SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance analysis at Newgistics. Peterson, who has most recently been serving as executive director at Holtzman Partners, joined the firm on June 29, 2012.
Prior to becoming a CPA and Certified Fraud Examiner in 2005, Peterson earned a BBA in accounting and an MPA in auditing from the University of Texas at Austin. Peterson is also a member of the AICPA and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She currently serves as treasurer on the board of directors for Love-A-Bull, Inc., an Austin-based nonprofit, and is an active volunteer with the Austin Humane Society.

Holtzman Partners has grown to 80 professionals, including 11 partners, since its inception in 2004 and the firm continues to hire experienced, service-focused personnel to handle the tax, audit and advisory needs of its expanding client roster.
In addition to nearly doubling its leadership team in the past two years, Holtzman Partners also increased the size of its Austin footprint in 2017 with the addition of buildings at 1700 and 1706 W. 6th Street, on the same block where its headquarters at 1710 W. 6th Street has been located since 2007.
