Mark has a broad knowledge of multifaceted IT systems, including hardware, software and networking equipment. His clients know him best for developing compliance solutions for complex software development processes. What he enjoys most about his work is helping new or startup companies navigate compliance requirements, such as SOX, FFIEC and SOC.
Mark joined Holtzman Partners after working on an FDIC engagement with Deloitte’s IT audit and consulting group. He focuses his efforts on SOC reports and SOX compliance. Mark is also involved with IT consulting on issues, such as HIPAA, NSIT, PCI and FFIEC. His client portfolio includes Epicor, Dril-Quip, Thermon Manufacturing Company, SolarWinds, Bazaarvoice, Tierpoint and Buzzpoints.
In addition to being a CPA in the state of Texas, Mark is a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a member of ISACA. He received his B.B.A. in accounting and his M.S. in management information systems from Texas A&M University.
Mark serves on the board of directors of the Austin Symphonic Band. He’s also quite the handyman. When he’s not working on a client engagement, or enjoying the outdoors, he can often be found working on home renovation projects.

I play the trombone as a volunteer and member of the Austin Symphonic Band. (It’s the official band of the City of Austin).
