Gretchen began her career more than 11 years ago in PwC Austin’s financial statement audit practice. She joined Holtzman Partners’ audit and advisory group in 2007 and is involved with financial statement audits, employee benefit plan audits, technical accounting consulting, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Gretchen enjoys working with companies in a variety of industries including CPG, retail, technology, and healthcare. Her clients include Kendra Scott Design, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, TrendKite, Seaweed Bath Co., and Spiceworks.
Gretchen enjoys working with clients in a variety of industries, especially those that are in the startup phase. She is great at collaborating with these companies to ensure their financial statements present an accurate picture of their financial position for the benefit of stakeholders, as well as potential investors and acquirers.
Prior to becoming a CPA in the state of Texas in 2006, Gretchen earned a B.B.A in accounting and an M.S. in finance from Texas A&M University. She serves on the Steering Committee of the American Woman’s Society of CPAs and is a member of the AICPA and the Texas A&M Association of Former Students. Gretchen also leads the firm’s women’s initiative and enjoys connecting with other professional women. She has also historically led the firm’s internal training and CPE programs.
Growing up, Gretchen loved playing and watching baseball and volleyball. Although she doesn’t get to play much anymore, she and her husband stay active thanks to their two little boys.
