Eric started his audit career in 2011 in Deloitte’s Atlanta office. During his time at Deloitte, Eric completed financial statement audits of a Fortune 50 international transportation company, gaining unique experience in cross border principal-agent revenue transactions, franchising and complex internal control structures. During his last year at Deloitte, Eric assisted his client in implementing the new COSO 2013 Framework, which has enabled Eric to be a key member of Holtzman Partners’ SOX implementation team.
At Holtzman Partners, Eric serves clients in a variety of fashions, including financial statement audits, technical accounting advisory, SOX implementation and consulting, and mergers and acquisitions due diligence.
Eric’s specialty is in financial statement audits and he works with clients across multiple industries. Eric’s audit clients have included local WordPress hosting company, WP Engine; software developer, ESO Solutions; and investment fund manager, Vida Capital.
Additionally, Eric enjoys serving clients of all sizes in internal control implementation and consulting and internal audit outsourcing. Holtzman Partners has a refined methodology to help companies obtain SOX compliance after an IPO, and Eric assists high-growth companies in identifying risks and related controls that will enable them to reach their goals. Eric currently assists clients like RetailMeNot, American Campus Communities and SolarWinds in this capacity.
When not performing SOX consulting or internal audit services, Eric enjoys using his analytical skills and technical expertise to perform technical accounting advisory, including mergers and acquisitions due diligence for various clients. Eric prides himself on having strong business acumen and experience with a wide range of clients, allowing him to quickly understand new clients’ issues and develop a way to assist them in reaching their goals.
Eric is a native of Beaumont, Texas, and after living in Knoxville, Tennessee for his teenage years, he attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville (Go Vols!) for his undergraduate business degree and Masters of Accounting degree.
In his free time, Eric enjoys watching Tennessee football, traveling, playing golf and spending time with family. Eric is also active community, serving as an assistant coach with the First Tee of Austin.
